We have seen Gary Barsomian's work at many top end shows around the New England area.  Gary has a few new pieces at this show.  All of the works are inspired by close up images of plants from his garden in Dorchester.

We also found some new artists we had not met before.  Michael Allison is the creator of these wonderfully turned and colored pieces.

Wendy Ellertson is a local artist but her pieces are out of this world.  Ms. Ellertson combines texture, shapes, and imagination into fantastic creations...wing shaped books, sculptures of masked creatures, and a race of "Pudding Stone People".

If you have time tomorrow, get out to Marlboro and immerse yourself in the creative energies at the show... if you are fortunate, you may even bring home a fine work of art.

  Paradise City Arts Festival

Today we spent a couple of hours strolling around the Paradise City Arts Festival.  This show is NOT your "pot holder, tin can windchime" holiday arts & crafts show.  It IS a gathering of several hundred top quality artists and artisans exhibiting their work.

Nicole Telaar of Festive Fibers explained to us how she works with different color wool fibers to create the unique patterns for her functional pieces.

Nicole uses the felt medium in a variety of functional art pieces (uphostery, rugs, blankets) as well as 3 dimensional wall art and installations.
