If you are ever in Connecticut and find yourself close to Mystic (maybe on drive down to NYC from Maine?), make a rest stop at the Mystic Seaport. I have been making the drive from Boston to NYC for years without stopping in.

For some reason...OK, Carolyn finally convinced me, we stopped and visited the museum.  I had fun and Carolyn learned how to use a sextant :-)
