After thoroughly enjoying the first of the Spellman series, we had to get the other two (Curse of the Spellmans, Revenge of the Spellmans) as quickly as we could.  The Spellman Files was laugh out loud funny.  We have similar expectations of these other two.

It is best to go into this series with no background or idea of what the story is about.  One of the pleasure of "living" with the Spellmans is being a part of their inter-personal interactions.  The storyline is the thread that pulls everything together, but the joy of the book is in the characters themselves.  The Spellmans will make you laugh out loud. 

Some of us like to read with book in hand while others "read" while they are driving, so we got both the hard copy and the audio version of the Curse of the Spellmans.  The Revenge of the Spellmans hit the book stores on March 10th, but the audio version is not yet available.

So if you are looking for some fun Spring reading, we think you should put the Spellmens on your list.  We will be downloading the second in the series onto our iPods this weekend.  [Permalink]- The Spellmans
